hi, I just updated my homepage at college with .edu/~***, what I did is unzip the drupal 5.3, then upload it to overwrite all the existing files. But it went wrong, now my local site can not be accessed. Have to reinstall it again.
I am currently in the process of upgrading one of my Drupal 4.7 installations to Drupal 5.x. While I'm at it, I'm also changing some stuff here and there.
For instance, in my older version (4.7) I had quite a number of content types (CCK), which basically all had almost the same field setup in common. As this was only confusing and didn't really serve its purpose that well, I just want to bundle all of those things into one content type in the new version.
Helo guys, I've a question here which I'm confused about the update.php
In the Administer -> Modules page there's a statement
"It is important that update.php is run every time a module is updated to a newer version."
I'm confuse whether should I:
* Run update.php everytime i replace modules with new version files
* Run update.php on drupal upgrades only
If I need to run update.php, what selections should I choose for the modules? There are many versions there to choose and I don't get it on what to choose (or should not).
I have a pretty straightforward blog site that I recently upgraded to 5.3 from 4.7.6. I got everything updated just fine, but now I'm having problems with the teaser on on the front page. I had one item that was sticky at the top prior to the upgrade, and once I made it not sticky, the teaser text wasn't displayed. Then, when I added a new item, but the text doesn't display in that item, either. Everything else (title, categories, links, etc.) displays fine. I checked my post settings, and it is set to show 600 characters for the teaser.
I can't login and the site doesn't send mail to reset the password. I've checked the logs on my email server and nothing is getting to the email server.
I reset the uid=1 password via mysql and there's still no way into the site.
