Upgrading Drupal

went to upgrade 6 to 6.1 and i get this error

Access denied. You are not authorized to access this page.

i followed these directions
There is a line inside your settings.php file that says $update_free_access = FALSE;. Change it to $update_free_access = TRUE;.

but still no luck

i have full admin rights

any clues

Currently counting on a site hosted on a server with a domain name (. Info), here was a trial version, so now that this version enters the production stage I would like to know things that I have to take into account to make change domain to the domain official. How can I check my existing Drupal version that I'm using ?

I am new to drupal...

The gallery of our old site was built on Drupal4.7+gallery2 (2.1.X), now I need to convert the gallery data from our old site to our new site which is based on drupal5.7 with built-in image modules (image_attach, image_gallery,image_import), is it possible? if so, how? any help would be appreciated. I am not sure how to relate bunch of g2_XXX tables to those in drupal5.7.

i'm experiencing a weird problem with drupal 5.7 after upgrading Mysql from 4.0 to 4.1: after login, I get "Access Denied" errors for all pages. Note that authentication itself seems to work.

I have already checked the database, as it seems users, users_roles, and access tables are fine.

this issue affects all drupal installations on the server.

anyone have a clue as to what is causing this?
