NYU College of Global Public Health: Reinventing the Public Health Paradigm Online

The Client

Despite New York University (NYU) having granted public health-related degrees for over 40 years, it wasn’t until 2015 when NYU decided to consolidate several programs under the newly formed College of Global Public Health (CGPH). Their mission is to promote health and to advance health equity by cultivating and inspiring public health scholars, practitioners and leaders to engage in action-oriented initiatives that span disciplinary and geographic boundaries.

Menu hamburger doesn't work

I am making a website on Bootstrap 3 subtheme. Unfortunately, the hamburger menu does't work. When scaling the page, the traditional menu disappears and the hamburger menu appears. The menu hamburger lights up when I move the cursor over it, but when I click on it nothing happens. When I switch to Bootstrap theme the hamburger menu works properly. What could be the reason? I deleted all css to check if something in my code is the cause, but it also doesn't work.

Composer install of Drupal 8 fails with 403 Forbidden error

I note that with Drupal 8 it's highly recommended to use Composer to manage sites. So...

Installing Drupal using the instructions from https://www.drupal.org/docs/develop/using-composer/using-composer-to-install-drupal-and-manage-dependencies using drupal/reccomended-project.

1. Run composer create-project drupal/recommended-project [my_site_name_dir]

Drupal 8.8.x and Composer

I have a pile of sites successfully running Drupal 8.8.2 and although they all use the directory structure with core, modules, themes etc. in web directory so vendor directory, composer.json, composer.lock and a few others can sit outside of root, none of them use anything "recommended". If using composer to install 8.8.x works using a recommended approach then trying to subsequently get composer to install drupal console or drupal_commerce fails and reports "Killed" which is a usually a sign of memory shortfall.

php error/WSOD on checkout commerce/Drupal8

I am trying to get a D8 with drupal commerce site ready top open it to the public.

It is currently open to testers.

The site is an upgrade from D7 with ubercart. I have tried to run upgrades after the one I now use but those upgrades did not import orders which I do need to have as a reference.

I have had an wsod before which I was able to solve by comparing the view settings of an empty install with mine and I had changed stuff I should not have changed.

However, for this error it dous not work.

Here is the error report:
