Is Drupal a good option for an inventory or collection type database?

I am considering building a site for people who share my hobby of collecting pipe tobacco. The site would be analogous to those sites for wine collectors who catalog all their bottles with vintages, notes, etc.

I want the site to have the following features and functionality:

Deleting Database customer registrations

I have a Drupal site which also accesses a MySQL database. I have set up an online training course where students need to register and then receive a password. The problem I am having is that when I want to test the site and register as a fake student I keep having to come up with new e-mail addresses. As soon as I use an e-mail address I can't use it again. In the administrative panel I tried to go under people/lists and then delete my previous test registrations, including content. Unfortunately, when I try to register again it still rejects the e-mail.

Can Drupal do.....?

Hi there,

I'm new to Drupal. I have always been a Joomla user but a client has requested I build in Drupal for a project so I'm getting the questions in early..!

Can Drupal be setup so that people from different locations can view different products? Basically, they want to launch a range of products, some in USA and some in UK, but when people come to the site they want them to only be able to view the products available in their region. My instinct would be to say just buy a .com and a com.au then setup two sites as I can already foresee lots of headaches..!

Importing every new post from Tumblr to Drupal

I love the re-blogging and social aspects of Tumblr but would like to present my content on Drupal - are there any Modules that could import every new post from Tumblr into Drupal? I can't seem to find anything...

DrupalCon São Paulo Updates and Call for Session Proposals

Olá! Join Drupal project founder Dries Buytaert and core committer Angie Byron this December 6-8 in beautiful Brazil to bring a little Carnaval to Drupal. DrupalCon São Paulo will focus primarily on content for Drupal developers, but there will of course be plenty to offer for designers, themers, project managers, architects, engineers, and those involved with the business side of Drupal.

Overview of Drupal 7 vs. Drupal 8

Is there a general overview for Drupal end-users about planned differences between Drupal 7 and Drupal 8? If I go to the Drupal Core page the links are to Drupal 8 Updates and How to Help and to the Drupal 8 Initiatives group, my impression is that both of these get very specific and technical very quickly.

However, a Google search on any of the following for site:drupal.org gets no exact-phrase results, implying there is no basic overview page for Drupal 8
