I am thinking of creating a news aggregator about a particular topic (e.g. Google Glass). Majority of links are to come from Google Alerts, some from popular tech blogs (filtered for google glass), some I'll post on my own. And then I'll apply some moderation throwing out search results that don't actually bring much news.

in drupal 8 i found the entity manager and the plugin manager (and probably a database manager or something like that).
Do you know if there are other managers ?
