Drupal 8.x

I am installing drupal 8 for the first time, I have gone thru all the pre-installation issues, and have changed the permissions on the subject folders several different ways going as far as allowing 777 temporarily and yet the File System issue will not allow me to go beyond the Requirements page during install. What else am I missing?

I look for a long time but do not find answer (i use drupal 8).

I would simply want to add a <span></span> in the links of the user menu (like <li><a><span></span></a></li>).

I believe that it is necessary to use preprocess links, but for the moment my tries do not work.

Anybody has the solution?

I am trying to use the easy_social module to get those facebook/google+/twiter/... buttons on my posts, but the available docs are for drupal 7, and they "don't work" for drupal 8.

I'm trying to accomplish a certain task and clueless. Im using Drupal 8 for my new project.I have a slideshow in my home page and I've used 'flexslider' plugin and views for achieving this. This is working as expected.

But in all of my inner pages, I have a header where I'm supposed to display the last image displayed on the slideshow of the front page.
For this, I'm trying to create a dynamic custom block programmatically based on the URL parameter. (I have the last image details with me and did an ajax post to my custom module when the image changes on the slideshow).

i am in the process of creating a community website and i am looking for out of the box solutions.

I already made some custom stuff in D7, but i would like to go D8 and was wondering if there where already some distribution that would allow community features like
-events
-gallery
-group managements
etc...

Does anyone knows something that would help ?
