We are a community group and have a wordpress site which has approx over 1000 pages/post etc, it is a bit slow and we are looking at something a bit better and maybe a bit faster.
My question is we have clubs worldwide and have a map with pointers to the countries we have clubs in. When someone clicks a country it breaks it down to then show the regions in that country, we also have a find your nearest where visitors will enter their post code and it will show the nearest 5 clubs. Is there any modules like this in Drupal?
Very new to Drupal and just installed Drupal 8 on my site. It's completely empty, with a couple of modules installed and a theme in place. Before the big customisation can commence, I want to make sure all site functionality is there.
I'm looking to create a free website resource for teachers in the Netherlands. I would like to create an area where content managers (site admins) can upload PDF files that include teaching resources. Very similar to what twinkl does in the UK.
I am using Drupal 8.4.2 and have a slideshow using the Views Slideshow module with 7 images. It works great. I created a content type Banner, a Banner slideshow with 7 images, and then a View of the content which I display in a block. The slideshow works great and I am able to place it on the page I want. However, I haven't been able to get any overlays on the individual slides.
Last night, I downloaded, installed, and configured my new Drupal container (https://hub.docker.com/_/drupal/) from scratch in my old Debian oldstable/Jessie box. Since I had used Drupal v4(?)'s frontend before, I decided to try my own setup, learn Docker, and Drupal v8. V8 is very different now. I am having problems getting my two external RSS news aggregators to show up in Drupal's home page with one test post.
