Problem Uninstalling Module

Hello everyone,

I downloaded the visitor's module and during the installation the following error was displayed:

\Fatal error: Declaration of Drupal\visitors\Form\Settings::buildForm(array $form, array &$form_state) must be compatible with Drupal\Core\Form\FormInterface::buildForm(array $form, Drupal\Core\Form\FormStateInterface $form_state) in/home/icon4x64/public_html/syspoint.com.ng/modules/visitors/src/Form/Settings.php on line 0

Search_API

Hello World,

On a Drupal 8 site I'm building, I'm using panelizer to provide customized layouts of content. I have a single page (basic page) that I am using panelizer on. I am also trying to use search_api and search_api_solr to try and index that content, however panelizer content is not stored in the index. Am I missing something here? Any solutions that will allow panelizer content to be stored in the index?

Thanks!

Beginners guide to updating with Composer

Hi there,

I was recently given advice that Drupal core and it’s modules are best updated using Composer. I am not a Developer by nature and therefore am looking for some guidance as to how on earth this is achieved. If there are links people know of that could be helpful to this topic (using user-friendly terminology if this exists) it would be very much appreciated :)

thanks all

D8 install to write db config in settings.local.php

Hi,

I am using Composer, Drupal-Composer project, and Drush to install Drupal in an automated script.

I would like to tell Drupal to put the DB connection info into settings.local.php instead of settings.php. Is this possible, and if so, how?

Thanks,

Michel

HTACCESS Questions

Hey,

Recently upgraded to Drupal 8.4.3 from the previous version.

While I upgrade through Cpanel's file manager, I always have a checklist regarding files that need to be overwritten.

Somehow (and I'm not saying I did not do it. I may have) - my htaccess got overwritten.

Question 1: Could running update.php overwrite my preexisting htaccess?

-> I had a backup, but only discovered the error days later.
