Help for a Drupal user who is non technical and migrating site from old version

Hello - I am a user, not developer, and since the person who set up my site five years ago stopped working with Drupal earlier this year I am having nothing but problems. I am trying to migrate from 7 to 8 (and then hopefully 9). I have employed a specialist company to do this but, after four months, still don't have the site working as seamlessly as previously and it is having a financial impact on my business. As I am not a developer I am struggling to understand why this is the case.

Brisbane City Council

As the largest local government body in Australia, Brisbane City Council (BCC) guides the city’s future growth and development. In 2013, PreviousNext rebuilt BCC’s website on aGov, the open Drupal platform for Australian Government websites. BCC wanted to move from their legacy Oracle Web CMS platform onto Drupal as quickly as possible, as well as implement a complete redesign of their site.

Website Down 'Encounted Unexpected Error' - Module Problem

When deleting a module through the admin interface that I thought wasn't essential to the site, the site went down. Please help me fix it :) I don't have access to the site admin through the browser UI. Nor do I have drush or composer. But I do have access to FTP, PHPMyAdmin, and SSH. I tried clearing the cache by truncating in PHPMYAdmin. But that didn't work. It looks like I need to install 'entity.commerce_product.collection' How do I do this? Thanks for any advice. Feeling stressed....

Here's the page error:

No available releases found

I have this error on one of my sites but not an almost identical one and the updates are all done at the same time, manually. It is only for the core update, all the modules show the updates as normal.

I found this but don't know how to do this via phpmyadmin. I don't want to mess up. I'm also not sure that when I run update.php it actually works properly.

Some help on this would be much appreciated, thank you.

Unable to set document root as /public_html/web

Hello,

Recently developed a commerce website using Drupal 8 CMS. Deployed it to the Cpanel server but unable to set the document root as /public_html/web.

so added one index.html file under public_html directory with code below.

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=www.domainname.com/web" />

Whenever the site is accessed it goes to /web and all other pages are also getting access using .com/web/page-name

How can I force or set document root to /public_html/web as document root?

Upgrading from 8 to 9 WITHOUT Composer

Starting from the beginning, I have been a happy user of Drupal for over 10 years, starting with Drupal6. I have never used Composer or Drush. All installs have been done either via ftp or CPanel. Many times I have read up on Composer but just haven't got my head around how it works, but increasingly I am finding modules now have to be installed via Composer meaning that I can't use them. Converting to Composer is way beyond me and I suspect others as well.
