There are 2 different releases of Drupal Are given for installment . One is Drupal 5.6. And other is Drupal 4.7.11. Can Anyone pls Guide me which one is the best of two for a community site and whats the Difference between the two??? Please help me
I've been poring over eCommerce & Ubercart documentation & forum discussion and I'm generally blinded by wealth of details. I have a couple of specific things I would like to accomplish:
1) allow a user to purchase one of 4 roles, with the ability to 'upgrade' if desired. Additionally, the upgrade to the role would ideally occur as soon as the payment is complete.
I have been browsing through the features and modules trying to figure which ones I need. I'm trying to make a install of drupal version 5.6 and I keep getting the following error message.

The following error must be resolved before you can continue the installation process:
register_globals is enabled. Drupal requires this configuration directive to be disabled. Your site may not be secure when register_globals is enabled. The PHP manual has instructions for how to change configuration settings. (Currently using PHP 4.4.7)"
Hello! I'm a web designer with only a small amount of back-end knowledge. I'm good with XHTML/CSS but very rusty with PHP, JS, etc. My forte is definitely in front-end styling and design.
