Alright so here's the deal. I talked to a good friend of mine who is actually on these boards and uses Drupal, and I believe Drupal may be the solution to what I wanted to do. I talked with him a bit and he absolutely swears by it and it looks like a fantastic product. However, I have a few questions as to how it will or can relate to what I'd like to do.
I am considering to move my site made with nukeET to Drupal, but I don't know which version should I install: I have seen that last version is 5.6 but there's a 6.0 RC2 version as well. I have never used Drupal, and I have just started to test it, so I don't know how the upgrading process works and if it's difficult to upgrade or not (hopefully not). I am afraid of spending some time in learning with 5.6 version and then spend some time with 6.x version...
I'm new here and I've been only testing drupal for one day, so I'm a newbie.
Currently I am using another CMS (actually is nukeET -a modifyed version based on phpnuke) and I am seriously considering migrating the site to Drupal. But before doing so, I would like to ask few questions regarging urls
Once I change CMS, urls will change as well, so all the indexed pages by google or linked from other webs will break and an error 404 will appear.
Ok im trying to get a social network type of site up and one got any ideas or how to get started and set it up on my server? I saw a program called e friends but cant ask them any ?s and not sure if they are open source. I like how e friends is already set up how do i get the same from drupal?? Any help would be great.
Thanks Cody
I just learned the ABCs of Drupal at a 2-hour tutorial session today. I.e. I'm very green.
Every intro to Drupal I've come across is directed at users who are interested only in largely static content, but my website centers around several CGI scripts written in Perl, and it's not clear to me how they can be migrated to Drupal.
Hello, I want to ask before I go Drupal for my website:
The member can create their own shop and sell items
On items page, user can comment and book the item.
The owner will mark the item as sold if it's sold, etc.
As for the other member, they can also build their own shop and sell things.
Is it possible to use Drupal?
If so, what's the core module that I must investigate?
