I'm looking to add a user forum for my site, but have the following requirements:
- All existing users added to forum user list
- Single registration form adds user to site as well as forum
- Single login for site and forum section
I looked into PhpBB but it seemed very complicated to make the necessary modifications and I'm wondering if Drupal would be easier to customize in the required manner. A quick browse through the modules section seems positive.
Greetings, I am new here. I am playing around with an idea for a site and I'm wondering whether Drupal might be the right tool for the job. I apologize if this has been asked before, but I didn't find anything specifically like my needs.
I want to start a website where people can sign up and get a little site of their own. Sounds a little MySpace-ish, but it's not going to be a community. Each member's site is totally separate from the rest. Here are the features I have in mind:
Users come to my main site and sign up for the service.
Users' sites live on a subdomain or a separate top-level domain.
Once authenticated, they get access to the admin section of their site.
They can choose a theme (from the ones I provide, custom themes are not necessary) and add functionality to their site from a set of pre-defined options: static pages, blog, photo gallery, forum.
They can protect all or parts of their site with a password (no complete user registration necessary).
They can invite others to become editors, blog contributors.
Hi, just wanted to know which modules to use if I want to create a website with user postings, drop down menus and search fields?
I want the postings to go live immediately.
Thanks.
Hi everyone, I've just started looking into the possibility of using Drupal on my label's website, I've even started tinkering with an install and various modules (CCK, views, audio.module and mediafield). Now, after a little time I've started to wonder if it's really possible to do what I want. My site presents mp3s for download, but the important thing is that they are grouped by release, i.e. album name / catalog number. One way I thought it might work was to create a content type called 'Release' and add the mediafield module for uploading each mp3.
I have a website www.cust-art.com up and running. It has been done with Drupal last October.
I want to implement the meta tags and meta description into the different pages of the site using nodewords-6.x-1.0-rc1 that I found somewhere here but I don't know where to begin to make the connection between the module and my web site.
Where do I start? Do I have to install Drupal onto my computer? I have made a full backup of the website this morning so I could try doing it on my own.
I wasnt sure where to post this question but seems like this might be the place...
Basically I want to build a paysite which for the moment wont accept payments but to just accept users that register (name, username, password etcetc..) This would give them access to a gallery/forum (drupal has already).
Ofcourse those that have seen most paysites have like a teaser/tour area before sign up process.
