Some One Told Me That U dont need to include License /copyright note in page footer if u use drupal is it true ?????

I said no, I also read the License but i m confused can anyone clear it ?

I am considering moving www.karnataka.com to drupal.
Does the latest version of Drupal 6.x support SEO URLs - i.e. I should be able to decide what the URL should be for each of the pages.
For e.g. after I add a page can I specifically set the URL of that page to http://www.karnataka.com/tourism/bangalore/ ?

How good is the version control system? This is another feature that is making me migrate to Drupal

The ACM chapter of my college, SVNIT(www.svnit.ac.in) is planning atwo day computing event in september end. We want a site for it. We need forums+ multi user blog where each participant can write about their experience and preparation and share it with other users. All of this is possible in Drupal.

But since its an event we need people to register for them too and form teams. Say there are two contest Contest1 and Contest 2 and 4 people register on our site, let these people be P1,P2,P3 and P4. Now whenever any of these (p1 to p4) log in, it must show all the events they are planning to participate in, plus give them updates about those events. Secondly say, Contest1 and contest 2 are team events of 3 members each. Now these people (P1 to P4) should be allowed to form a team and choose a team leader. So while registering for an event, one has to specify the team as well and one can add/edit members. And the site should show which teams a user belongs to. For example P1,P2 and P3 may participate in Contest 1 while P1,P2 and P4 may participate in contest 2... All of this has to be taken care of.

I have already created the site already and have used the jobsearch module and CCK. I have a few questions.

1)I have a created a resume CCK. Is it possible that a user can only have one resume?
2)I have created a custom navigation block for the user. How can I let them see and change their user profile.

First of all, I don't know Drupal, and I don't have a clue which version it is. I'm guessing the latest one, but I can't find anywhere on my site which version its running.

Basically, all I want is to have a blog on one section of my front page, that can load to archives etc. Wordpress sounded perfect, but apparently it is unlikely to run on my brother's server and he already had Drupal for his ugly template websites so he stuck it on mine.

No idea if it's the right forum to post or if it has been mentioned somewhere else already...but I can't search the forum for this kind of issue, because indeed the search itself isn't working !!

when I click on search the forums, I have a "Page not found error" . Am I the only one ?
