Wiki, RFS System, Document store - Can Drupal do it all ?

I'm currently looking to bring various bits and bobs together under one platform and I'm trying to see if Drupal can handle me needs.

I currently have a Wiki (MediaWiki) running for general information sharing and content.
We use Grouphub for Job Request Flkows / Request For Service type tasks (very inflexible !)
I'm getting pressure to use Sharepoint as a central document repository and versioning.

Could Drupal handle all of these taks either natively or with Modules ?

Can I work outside of Drupal?

Hi Forum,

My first post and I am a total beginner with Drupal.

I've a contract for a company that uses a managed solution whereby a third party creates and maintains all marketing content on my client's corporate internet site. The current corporate site is English-only and suited to the daily running of an established business. The quality is good and we don't want to change.

My task is to establish local presence for the company in new, non-english-speaking markets. For that I need a very different website in a new language. The new website should be accessible from the corporate site and vice-versa.

Normally for such work, I'd create the site and host it locally using PHP/HTML or a Joomla CMS (because that is what I know). In this case, I proposed a content for the local company to implement as a single landing page for the local bases.

Classified ads with a little extra?

Good afternoon folks,

After browsing through a number of various post's it's become apparent that creating a classified ad's type website is very possible with Drupal which is a great start. However I'm planning on integrating a video upload option in with certain adverts, giving users the option to use the service. Is this going to complicate matters when using Drupal?

Many thanks.

How Many Forums Can I Make?

Hello All,
I am considering converting a rather large highly hacked Discus based site to Drupal. This is an educational site which uses the Discus' dynamic navigation to keep menus and links up to date then of course there is the Discus forum at the bottom of the menu branching to allow users to ask questions. The purpose is to keep a topic's article and discussion closely associated (both spacially and navigationally).

There will be topics with menus which lead to subtopics with submenus where you eventually end up at an article and the forum associated with that article. It strikes me there are two ways to do this:
1) One is to create a large book with branching chapters (menu pages) that end at the articles with each having it's own forum.
2) Do what we did with Discus: use one large forum where the pages can act as menus, article information, or a forum where users can start there own subtopic.
On these "article pages" besides a forum, I would like to have a RSS aggregator pulling in the news on this topic from the Web once a day.

Can I do this

Can Drupal Do This?

Greetings,

I am trying to create a website that allows coaches to create their own blog and gather subscribers. I want to have it so subscribers can rate coaches (so we know who the best coaches are) and their posts. I know Durpal supports multiple users and blogs, so I know in theory this would work... I'm just wondering how easy it would be to setup. I've been using WordPress MU and it's been very confusing so far.

My questions are:
