I'm trying to create a form within a static page, using type=php. Now I found out that this is no problem at all, when the Node link tags are disabled, but when enabling them, the form output is rendered in a wrong way:
I am working on a website (www.amberwavesdiving.com) that uses Drupal as the CMS. I am wanting to add a new page called "Equipment" based on a current theme. I then want to be able to add inventory and have the inventory sort by taxonomy (which is already integrated) and those items show on various pages sorted by type of product. For example, I want a page that is "BCD's" for one page and all items I enter that I list in the taxonomy as "BCD's" should show on that page.
We're planning on using Drupal for a closed community collaboration plattform.
It seems like Drupal covers most of our needs, but there is one problem area:
We've played around with the Fivestars Module, it's great, but we would want to be able to set a timeline during which voting is possible and after that, the voting function should be closed for this particular node.
How much custom coding would have to be done to achieve this functionality? Or is there maybe some other module that would fit the task better?
I've used Drupal on and off for a view years for non-blog sites and I've been generally pleased with it.
I'm facing a point in my career where I really need to specialize though and I was hoping for some clarity from the Drupal base.
I need to begin focusing on high-performance function-oriented web design. No more slicing up a psd and rigging it to some html and calling it a website. Most of my clients demands revolve around a combination of social and database intensive functions.
But it seems that everyone wants light, fast, mobile-friendly attributes to their projects now to. I currently host with Hostmonster and I'm not to disappointed, but I've noticed that my Drupal sites almost always underperform in comparison to my wordpress and joomla sites (I don't use Joomla anymore for many reasons, but that's not the point).
The question is, in your opinion, is Drupal the right choice for me if I need the following combination?
Social functionality (chat/pm, forums, friends, image/video sharing, custom profiles)
Is a graphic click stream available for first-day newcomers to lay out the structural relationships between the concepts (words, blocks, processes, modes...) used in Drupal? Thanks.
