I need create a website over an existing database, which scheme is untouchable because it's being used on several apps.
Can I customize drupal to use a database with a custom scheme? Something like relating certain type of node to a different table. (And I mean for both displaying the info AND editing).
Excuse this newbie question, but I am tearing my hair out in desperation :-)
We are going to convert our big site to Drupal.
We have many editors that change content in different parts of our web site and many pages that are only allowed to be viewed by special end users.
As I can figure, the Roles can't be used at all. That because the roles opening up specific functionality for a entire groups of users everywhere not on specific places on the web site.
Hi, I run a small Domain & webhosting reseller business. recently, my upstream Provider has start giving a HTTP based API. so I was thinking to make a site using that REST API. the end result that I am expecting is similar to http://www.beta.namecheap.com/ or http://domai.nr/ which means lot of use of AJAX.
I would like to create a bidding website using drupal..... the website is divided into the following: users can register and can post their products public for bidding.... When someone leaves a comment, the user is notified by email. Is that possible to create? and what I should use to create this type of website?
Well, first of all, congratulations on releasing Drupal 7, it looks promising!
This is my goal for my site:
Drupal will be in charge of the homepage and other keys pages, but "users" won't exist, no. It is just content that I will be updating.
The forums are managed by MyBB forum software. So in my drupal page, a link to the forums will send the user there. That's where the community takes place.
Currently, I already have my forums up and running, at www.example.com.
