I have a question regarding time and resources for implementing Drupal CMS. We have a large ecommerce and need a new CMS solution. We are looking at different solutions. I have to make a plan for this and was wondering following:
- What knowledge and resources would you recommend us to have?
- How long time should I expect it to take (one month or is it more like a year)?
We 've got a drupal site showing off some annual report, about the activity of a hospital. For now the report are in the form of text, where we can found many numbers.
For various content management reasons that won't change, we have product content created in a system that outputs html and PDF docs from the same source.
What I'd like is a solution (hopefully in Drupal) to use that generated html in content within a Drupal site. Right now, not in Drupal, the site uses iframes to load the content, which has a bunch of issues.
I don't mean batch import as a operation. I mean every time a page is loaded, the current version of the particular html content is loaded -- as it would be in an iframe.
I'm really sad and dissapointed to say that I've given up on Drupal 8. I've installed and played with D8 since it was in beta and all I can say is that for me, a micro business who produces websites for micro and small businesses is that it's a total waste of time.
I first tried a beta and it was so slow I gave up.
I waited for a production ready version and wanted an ecommerce site but composer was needed... spent a few days grappling with it and gave up.
Repeated the above a couple of times since then and gave up.
In Drupal is it possible to have 2 forums, one for everyone, and an other "by invitation only"? Can the "by invitation only" forum then be invisible for everyone else?
