I am trying to build a webapp which will track down the devices on the basis of GPS. I have to track, smartphones, laipac devices and other GPS enabled devices. My main need is to track the user whenever he logs in to the website and provide him the information of other users who are connected to him with some condition. I have did some research and as far as i am concerned there is no specific module which serves my need. I tried Location module but its not serving the need and its redirecting to google or other website but i dont want to send user from my platform. I tried building this https://developers.google.com/maps/articles/phpsqlsearch_v3 but its not which is gonna help my need.

I am building a gaming website (that lets say where users can play each other in a chess match). In your opinion what would be the best module to have the user be able to host a game, join angame, and track the users wins/losses? I would also like admin users create tournaments.

I don't really want a site too advanced, just a forum, wiki that users can edit, and blog as well as a landing page with videos and text as well as maybe a slideshow. I want it to look good, I could make my own png images and replace some in a theme if it supports it. Having it look unique is something important to me.

How hard would this be?

I'm not familiar with Drupal at all. At least not yet. Drupal is on my road map and will be getting deep into it in coming weeks/months.

Before that happens tho, I've got a client who insists on using Drupal in their project. I 'sort of' agreed to do this in Drupal but only if it offers required functionality out of the box or through modules.

There is a views: format - HTML-list. I want to filter materials on the taxonomy term.
BUT ... but ... but ...
BEF perfectly fulfills this task. However, I need to display all the materials. Those that do not match the filter becomes unavailable (for example - Opacity 10%), but displayed ..
