Localisation already available for other languages?

I've loaded Drupal on my local machine and am very excited about its potential. BUT I have one big problem: localisation (my site will be in English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, and Italian as main languages, but with others added in bit by bit (Russian and Hindi being the first candidates).

Seeking best portal

Hello,

(In response to this same message, cms-quebec.com advised me Drupal)

I'm seeking a CMS that meet several requirements, these are ordered by importance :

Which tool for an article website?

I'd like to know your opinion on which tool is best for building article-based websites.

They will have a large tree of categories and subcategories, each with several articles.

These are not news items, but articles that have a permanent interest.

I want to show a brief description of each article on the list, and also have features like a version for printing and a search feature.

It would be nice to have the capability to add articles online through a WYSIWYG editor.

I also need a forum but I can install a separate product for that.

Online Community - Ultimate Frisbee League

Hello. I am looking to setup a website for the local ultimate frisbee scene. I'm hoping to do the following:

- calendar of events
- news
- league (post rosters, create schedule, track team stats)
- general pages (contact us, tournament info, links..etc)
- bulletin board
- photo/media gallery
- home page to summarize everything
- admin accounts to allow others in to control specific items

Thanks everyone! :)

Extra Data Accompanying a Post.

Okay, I'm thinking about using Drupal for a personal blog, but I want to have additional data accompany a post. For example, If it were a 'runner' blog, when you login to make a post there would be an text field for entering how many laps or miles ran that day. In the end I want to track my progress over weeks/months/years/etc..

1) Is this possible?

2) Am I correct in saying the 'extra' data would be a node?

3) I'm a programmer by trade, but would this a difficult modification?
