Before you start

I'm looking to build a database with the results of a specific sport. It has to contain Player A vs Player B, the result, venue where it was played etc. When you click on a player you see more information, such as the team he belongs to, which city he's from etc. Everything should be clickable, so when you click on the city you will see a list of all the players from that city etc.

I know this is possible in Drupal, but is Drupal the best solution for this? Are there other systems which work better, faster, have a better lay-out, are more user friendly etc?

I know DNN is suitable for Windows system while Drupal is for Linux system, but I still want to know their strong points and shortcomings. So please give me a comparing result between DNN and Drupal.

I have an idea in mind for a site but I am struggling to figure out how best to create the structure using even the basic modules. I would like to have something similar to tripadvisor in that the hierarchy goes like this: Country -> State/Province (optional) -> City -> Neighborhood (optional).

So I would like to be able to view a page for each of these (aside from the most granular one) that would list the available nodes for the next child level (i.e. USA page lists States, States page lists Cities, City page lists neighborhoods, etc.).

Hello could you help me? I need a module for makeing a multi - store BUT i can do it with kickstart and commerce marketplace. What about drupal commerce? I can't find it, so is it fallen down? Any why you know how to make with drupa a structure like following one:

Drupal (MAIN SITE 'www') and subordinate to this one,any number of stores. Also this stores must have got an exclusive adminstrator for the corresponding store, i want mean, only one administrator for one store and many groups like this one. King regards.

It's been 6 years that I havent done any e commerce site and my knowlegde about it out of date. So now I planning to create a small ecommerce web site for a company that sells jewelerry. There would be around 100 diferent products classified in 4 or 5 categories. Beside of standard e commerce functionalities, I would need to have a inventory management.

My question is to know which Drupal plugin/ solution is the most appropriate and easy to customize for this kind of shop? Also, other E commerce suggestions are welcome! What about Prestashop?
