Are Drupal a file flat databse or not need DBMS like MySQL

Are Drupal a file flat databse or not need DBMS like MySQL

Can I use drupal for this?

Hi there,

I have never used Drupal before. I heard it might be able to do what I want so I am coming here to find out. I have a domain for commercial real estate listings and I want people to be able to come to the site and subscribe with paypal to post a listing. Maybe they can also choose a length of time to subscribe for or use other gateways.

I also wonder if there might be some sort of bidding, where they can bid to have their listing listed higher on the page.

Is this sort of thing possible?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Any alternatives/hacks to get Drupal with phpmon4.0.X working?

My ISP has phpmod 4.something.low and won't upgrade to higher 4.X level and defaintely not to 5.0 level. I can php connect to the database fine, but definately get errors when executing. Are there any other options besides switching ISPs? I've searched around and didn't find any that support phpmod5.

Here are the errors I get with the phpmod4:

Warning: Wrong parameter count for rtrim() in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/includes/bootstrap.inc on line 53
