Tutorial Site

Right now I'm trying to put up a site for photoshop tutorials and I was wondering what version of drupal I should get if drupal would be the right CMS? What I want to do is post a new tutorial and I would be able to specify the length of information on each page and I would also like to be able to recieve comments from users on the tutorial. Another feature I would like is to be able to show something like "New Tutorials" and "Most Popular Tutorials" on the starting page.

Display articles query'd by a certain ID?

I am wanting to convert to drupal, and it's looking more and more feasable every time I post. If you've noticed, I have posted about a POTD script; however, have not made any headway. I did, however, just have an idea.

Is it possible to install Drupal in a subdirectory other than the root?

I very much like to try Drupal but I wonder if I can install and use Drupal in a subdirectory other than the root directory of my website. Is this possible?

Your help is much appreciated.

Need Help Deciding

Greets all... first post BUT in hopes of many to come.....

First off, I by no means have any php skills, but I don't mind getting into code to make changes (thanks to Vbulletin).

Ok... here is goes. I have been playing around (and waiting) with Joomla w/ Vbulletin. I whole site is to be based on my forum (Vbulletin), but with added content. I was hoping that I would be able to use Joomla with the Vbridge, but it's not doing what I had hoped.

So I am hoping to have some spefic questions answered (and feel free to enhance them to help convice me) about using Drupal that I do like from Joomla.

I have looked about the site for only a little bit... mostly continued "Read More" links, which is one of the items I liked about Joomla. But as many as I did follow, they all seemed to be just one pagers. I would like to know if there to display content (articles and not blogs) in a multi page format. Basically so that each article is not just one huge page but can be broken down to several... if needed.

Also, with Joomla, some of the content had a 'time' that it could be 'published' and then 'archived'. Does such a system exist. I have some items that I can put on the back end and set the time to show them and not worry about it, as it will be replaced with what will be coming nexted and archived (with links if one chooses to view

With Joomla, they use Sections>Catagories>Content and with SEO turned on (with an added SEO component) I could get my Sections>Catagories>Content to display Tutorials(Section)>Technical Studies(Catagories)> Moving Averages(Content). Is this also true with Drupal.

Creating Ecommerce site with Drupal and OSCommerce or Drupal and Zen Cart. Is it possible?

I am an entrepreneur looking to start an ecommerce business for alternative medicines which will be highly driven by content. I am not technical but want to understand what is possible in combining Drupal with other best-of-breed opensource Ecommerce software like OSCommerce or Zen Cart.

Drupal and db driven site?

I am in the process of building a new site.

The site will largely a content site which, of course, drupal is perfect for.

In addition to the content, I am wanting to incorporate a db of providers dealing with the content.

I will want to include a link to a page with the same theme that will a list of links that will allow the user to drill down from state, to city to get a list of providers pulled from the db. I will want to use mod_rewrite on this to clean up the URLs and make them more indexable as well.
