I am looking at using Drupal but I would like to check that it is able to do what I need before I install it. I need to make it so that when a user joins, he/she will be able to create their own image galleries. Basically like been able to show off their own portfolio. Also, is it possible for me to make a page that shows certain information that they input when they joined? I love the idea of Drupal and hope that this is right for me. If it can do this I would also be grateful if someone would be able to tell me which modules I would need to download and install.
I am looking into making a site where me and my friends can post different home made videos and images. I want to be able to update with regular updates to the main page, but also have a gallery available to view older content.
Is drupal good for this?
I also don't have much expereince with setting up websites, but i have doen basic flash, frontpage and dreamweaver before and have set up basic HTML sites.
I was also wondering if anyone knows if drupal will work fine with hosting services such as GoDady or RegisterFly.
Hi all - I visited druapl as an option for our organisation 6mths to a year back and hit a brick wall in relation to 'permissions' - I simply wanted to be able to make some content available to the public, some available to certain groups and unavailalble to others etc etc. From what I remember reading this was a likely future addition, but not yet a done thing - whats the story at the moment re this?
thanks

Hi ive applied the theme module and this works fine as and when per user applies his/her theme to their blog and all guests can view it. But the problem is once your into their blog and you click on any of the links on the left or right, whether it be poll, blog or whatever, after clicking any of the corrosponding links the default main page theme props up with the users blog details?? what have i done as it was like working before?
First of all for my poor english and for being newbie in drupal, I'll try my best ;)
I'd like to know if Drupal is right for my needs :
- 2 languages support for menus (easy) and for content (but I can install 2 instances of Drupal)
- Everything would be visible for all as "anonymous" but some users could also write in seperates sections accessibles by the menus. They'll can't write anywhere else. Each users his own sections.
Could you please point me to interested documentations and/or share advices and comments
