I need to implement a seo module for drupal 7, but I don't know what the best module is.

Somebody has any suggestions to help me with my doubt.

Hi Everyone..I'm very new to drupal and was getting a bit of mixed information about views so I wanted to see if anyone can set me on the right path.

Here's my situation. I have a separate database(on the same drupal database server), that has alot of data thats maintained by another team. We want to publish that data to the web and after getting some suggestions it looks like drupal views is the way to go.

The problem is, I'm not sure where to go from there. I read the docs and just watched the views tutorial on lullabot, but my data isn't in the fields columns at all.

I read one doc that said I had to "describe" my external database to drupal but wasn't sure how to do it. I found a few tools on drupal.org(services, etc..) that said they can analyize my database and report the structure back to drupal but I can't figure it out.

Basically the end result I want is two things. First is to simply display the data as is from my external database onto a drupal node(the only catch is, each page is specific to a database entity so although the data format/display is standard, the data itself will change with the links, for exmaple, www.example.com/ibm should only provide our data on ibm and as the company name changes so does the data thats displayed) and later I might want to run some calculations on the data before it shows up.

Hi, I didn't see a place to post hellos so I thought I would try general discussions.

I'm a novice with no experience with drupal but after reading articles and the Drupal case studies I hope that I can try to utilize drupal. My goal is to have a website where my friends & their supporters can discuss activist related topics and also a place where they can have their shops. I believe that is called ubercar t market plus something else that needs to be installed that I haven't figured out yet.

Just finished reading "foundation drupal7" and in the author mentions that I should never develop a site logged as user #1, instead he recommends that I create a user with admin privileges. However, he never tell us WHY we should do that.

Anyone care to chime in on why developing with user #1 is bad practice?

I'm trying to create a site that will store nodes as items that people can add to any number of their own list. For example, if I have a node that consists of a book listing, I want the user to be able to add that book to any number of private lists for themselves such as "books I own" and/or "books by certain author I own" .

I've looked at Flags + Flag lists, cck taxonomy + cck taxonomy super select ultra and community tags so far, but I'm not sure which way to go.

Anyone have any recommendations?

I am webmaster of service base website basically Web Development Company. I have very vast experience to work on eCommerce website. Not for developing or designing but to sell products online with help of different market place like ebay and Amazon.

Now, I want to learn Drupal technology to start my own blog. I was searching for such a best platform for CMS like Wordpress, Joomla and many more. But, I am interested in Drupal.
