We are planning to use the third party Content Management System (CMS) for web site content for ATG E-Commerce Application, instead of ATG content Administration or merchandising.
Can anybody please let me know how can I use Drupal as a third party CMS with ATG E-Commerce Application?
I'm researching a fairly complex Drupal build and I'm very familiar with Drupal, having launched 8 Drupal sites previously. But one thing keeps hanging me up, trying to figure out what modules or even another application that might suit better.
I want to create a site where each member is an author and owns their own posts (which are stories they have written). Some site members can offer their services as editors. A great option would be to let each writer identify an editor they have agreed to work with and to allow this editor access to a specific story (post).
Hi, I'm completely new to Drupal and need to ramp up very quickly around the task at hand. What I am tasked with is two parts. The first part is to create an administrative page that will allow the end user to manage a hierarchical tree view with data associated with each node (add/edit/delete nodes and associated data) - all of which is stored in a MySQL DB. The second part is to create a web service that will be consumed by an Android app - this web service will simply get the entire tree structure and serialize it as an XML document and send that as the response. All of this needs to be done within Drupal.
I am comfortable with web technology and databases, but not with Drupal. I'm looking for some recommendations on where to start, what resources to read, etc. - and these resources should be targeted to what I need to produce results as quickly as possible.
FYI, I've downloaded the latest Drupal QuickStart and have it up and running and have started playing around with it just a bit.
Some questions I have are:
1. Should the two parts be created as a Drupal module?
The job has me working on a 250+ website multi-install of Wordpress... I think my title about sums up how I feel (no dis-respect to my WP homeys)... But what I wouldn't do for a Drupal install right now! My life would be so much easier; I could probably actually take a vacation and know without worrying that everything worked accordingly.
