How to make a page without author information...

Hi all,
I am new to Drupal and am still trying to learn all of its features. I would like to create pages that do not have author information in it. Right now, the content types of drupal that I have come across include story, page, blog, ... and the problem is that every new piece of content in each of these types has an author information in it (i.e. published by userX at time ....)

THese are great but I also want to create (regular) pages without the author information. I have seen a few places that use drupal do this, so I know it can be done but I'm not sure how.

100% Text Area Problem

I have a 3 cell table layout for my site.

LEFT CENTER RIGHT

The widths of the LEFT and RIGHT cells are controlled through CSS. The CENTER column has no width value.

In the center column I have a textarea.

When I set the textarea's width (via css) to 100% a problem occurs. About 30% of the time (in IE and Firefox) the RIGHT column displays incorrectly, it is either squeeze or (more common) it is pushed outside the the window frame and is only viewable through the horizontal scroll.

One solution I have found is to make the textarea's width fixed (300px).

e107: Very impressed

I've been playing around with e107 recently and am very impressed. It boasts a large feature set and is simple to learn.

I'm still a Drupal newbie, and am still not completely sold on it. Don't get me wrong - Drupal is a wonderful product, especially considering it's free. But I've run into several frustrations which have made me cast a wandering eye in the direction of other CMSs.

Is Drupal better than Mambo, TYPO3, WebGUI and Xaraya?

Hi Drupal folks

I'm doing research to decide what CMS to use for a complex community-choice competitions system I'm doing for the large global development charity organization: www.ashoka.org

The main CMS options I am considering are

Drupal Mambo TYPO3 WebGUI and Xaraya

After making a choice, I'll most likely hire developers that specialize in that CMS to help me customize it for the project needs.

To help decide what CMS to use and who to hire, I'm looking for examples of great community sites that use these CMS and that demonstrate the following attributes...

1. Scalable for mass community use
For example, sites will not crash with 100,000 visitors and hundreds of logged-in users using the site on a daily basis day.

2. Multi-site Deployment
Host multiple web sites that use the same installation. Each site has its own domain, permissions, languages, templates and content. It should be possible for some roles (e.g. super-admin, lead editor, organization members) to use the same login in multiple sites, or better yet, maintain a continuous login session and user profile across multiple sites.

3. Multi-lingual
Editor interfaces and content should support most popular languages. Ideal examples would include Arabic, Hebrew, and Chinese.

4. Granular Privileges
Admin should be able to create custom user types, roles or groups that specify permissions for what data a user can see, what they can edit, as well as what features they can access.

Weblink errrors

I just installed drupal 4.5.3 and weblink module, When I added my first link and try to access the category in which the link is, I get this error message:

warning: implode(): Bad arguments. in /home/xxxxx/public_html/includes/theme.inc on line 441.

If I visit the same section when I am logged in as admin, i have no problem.

Either ways, it works however for anonymous visitor there is the above mentioned error.

I have "access content" enabled for anonymous user but not the "add weblink"

Any ideas why i might be getting this error.

Resizing the Comment Box

As you can see on this page:

http://www.emodo.com/node/28

The comment box is a fixed width (70 column). And is not controlled by CSS but looks like it is hard coded somewhere.

I want to change this to make it controlled by CSS (like the forum box I am typing in now).

Does anyone know what file controls the display of the comment box so I can hack it?
