I've been working with Drupal for about two months. Quite frankly, it's amazing. I haven't had any troubles with it.
Problem is, I want to run VBulletin along with a Drupal site. If I can't get this to work, I may have to switch to Mambo, which annoys the hell out of me.
Hello i make an intranet for my compagnie.
When the user login/logout i have this error :
warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\test\drupal-4.6.1\themes\bopt\bopt.theme:1) in D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\test\drupal-4.6.1\includes\common.inc on line 192.
I read some article about this kind of error but I do not have to find solution to adapt has my problem.
I try to modify the php.ini (while changing the "error_reporting") but no way...
Is there already a good way to create a drop down menu system in Drupal? My favorite example that I've seen is on www.sonymediasoftware.com. I like the fact that you can right click and get an "Open In New Window" option. A lot of menu systems that I've seen won't give that option for some reason.
A client -- or potential client - asked me the difference between Java and PHP which was not very hard to explain even to someone who is not technical. No problem there. The next question was a bit harder and I'm not sure I answered it well.
He wanted to know why anyone would choose to go with a Java based portal like the new Jboss portal which he refereed to specifically over something like Drupal. His reasoning is that there must be a good reason or Jboss wouldn't have created the portal or something along those lines.
My best reason is that if an organization has the in house staff and resources to support a completely integrated Java application from top to bottom and that application is in place and working they are not likely to want to change technologies for their portal installation. In other words their existing technology will dictate their future direction and implementation of new applications. Or something like that anyway.
That's my best reason. I don't really know whether Java really is more scalable than PHP nor do I know whether its faster or what. I thought I used to know but no longer can say that Java is more scalable and certainly its not faster in every instance.
So what are the reasons one would go with a Java portal over a PHP -- specifically Drupal -- based portal if all things were equal -- IE. no existing infrastructure to be c
