Wish to develop a Drupal-based site with video and eCommerce functionality. Functional spec, front-end, back-end wireframes and design comps completed and approved by stakeholders. Flash-based player already built and tested, non-drupal prototype available for review. We are looking for an experienced team of Drupal developers to bring site to fruition. Drupal 4.6 is the most likely code base, with graceful migration to 4.7 desired within the year.
Please contact me through the personal contact form here on drupal.org, thank you.
I am posting this for the benefit of drupal users who may be thinking of moving to Site 5. Of late, services appear to have deteriorated. In the six months I have been with them on a reseller account, I have had unannounced outages on 5 occasions (including twice today), each extending from a minimum of 30 minutes to about an hour. One of these outages happened the day before the softlaunch of a site, so you can imagine the stress.
Despite these glitches, I have tended to give Site5 the benefit of the doubt and have in fact posted enthusiastically in the drupal forums, encouraging people to sign up with them. I am not sure I am going to do that anymore.
Site 5 forums were famous as a great source of support outside their customer service. They still continue to be, but during a recent reorganisation of the forums, certain decisions seem to have been taken to protect Site 5 from negative publicity from customers for lowered quality levels. You can no longer make a post on *any* Site5 forum asking why a server is down or expressing your dissatisfaction about the level of service. I had three posts removed today because I had apparently violated these guidelines. Sure, this is what the forum guidelines say, but the reason I posted them was because the forum was customer-to-customer support for Resellers and there was no where else I could share my concerns with other customers about this. I would be happy to stand corrected if I am wrong.
After upgrading my site to version 4.7.0 and installing the new versions of the previously installed modules I found out that moviereview module contained no installation files.
The old versions of this module are not compatible with drupal 4.7.0; settings page gave me many problems, so I decided to downgrade back to 4.6.6. I hope that a working version of moviereview module will be released soon, but it would be recommended to delete moviereview module from the page of 4.7.0 drupal modules, since users could think that a compatible version exists.
I need an email list of all the users in our database, so I could upload all of them onto the newsletter module. Is there a query or way to do that? Ideally I want it as a csv file.
It’s very great that Drupal has big community. I hope someone can help me out of my problem.
Yesterday I installed Drupal 4.7 and can’t get the site organization to work. For example how do I make a new section and assign a url for this section like this www.site.com/section
Actually there is a bigger problem. I’ll try to explain my situation hoping that there will be an easy solution.
Just curious, since I'm looking for a lean php editor as a replacement for notepad in windows: What php editors are you using ?
Does one exist which also can patch and diff ? I've tried eclipse with a the php plugin but I think eclipse is slow and a bit sluggish when you frequently close the window and then look at a another php file again.
