Im a total newbie to Drupal.
I'm currently developing a site for a company. I'm having a bit of a problem adjusting the layout as I want it to be like without messing up the current layout completly. The client wants to be able to upgade Drupal in the future, without having any problems at all. This means that I can't add any modules or other things like that, that will not be compatible with future upgrades. I maybe will not be able to come back future and upgrade for them so they will have to do it themselfs. (They have a staff that does not fully understand, any script or markup languages, only know how and what to write)
The page it self is rather simple and is only text based, but with different sub-divisions. The sites subsites must be able to merge with the site seamlessly. Witch takes me to why, Drupal was even considerd.
Drupal is a node orientated CMS, right? I thought that the sites under the main site could be nodes, that has links to the same material that the main site has, but not all of it (If this does make any sense, I talk more with my body and hands than I do with my mouth...hehe).
The companys site
|
---> other company (Same layout, other text and less access to materials that the main site has)
(Client wants to be able to "break the minisites off" and use them to send to other clients as referance)
Can someone point me in the right direction to adjust Drupal to be a completly text orientated site (no feedback or comments in front page or other page aswell). The site is not going to contain any forum or blog, at all. Will use Drupal only for editing the text in the site basicly.
