General discussion

On the front page of my drupal site, I would like to have a block that shows (in the right-hand column), the photos of contributors to my site (which the contributors can upload). Under each photo I want to have a little text, which users can click on to see a profile page for that particular user.

Is there an easy way to do this? Image galliers? Node Image module? Any suggestions appreciated.

hi all,

i am currently developing a site for my band. there are a lot of functions that are similar to what i am looking for already available in drupal core and contrib, but there is a lot of functionality that i am not sure how to tackle most effectively. i was hoping for some guidance on how to implement this in the most effective way possible.

when the site is finished, i will be happy to share my experiences, since my sense is that a lot of others are looking for the same sorts of functionality.

As with most band sites, there will be the following core sections,

1) member profiles
2) repertoire (discography, songs)
3) store
5) media gallery
4) news and events
6) guestbook and extras

What will (hopefully) go in each section.....

I created a 'page' in Drupal to display results of a search from an external database. I also created a simple php file which does the same thing, except it doesn't use Drupal database abstraction layer (mysql_query instead of db_query, etc).

The php file display utf8 characters fine. The Drupal page display some junk characters (Núñez instead of Núñez).

All my databases are in utf8 collation utf8_general_ci. All my tables were created in this mode. Php is set to UTF8.

Anyone knows whats going on?

I'm using CCK to create an example content type.

The new submission page is located here...

And the form inputs are referenced like this...
input type="text" name="edit[example][attribute1]" id="edit-example-attribute1"

How do I post variables so that they will pre-populate the form values?

Neither of these are working...
/node/add/content-example?edit[example][attribute1]=test
/node/add/content-example?edit-example-attribute1=test

I am a complete newbie to drupal, but i am configuring my site and things are going well. But, I can figure out how to add a search form to my site. I can't even find anything about the included search module except for people looking for advanced serach options. So can someone give my some info about implementing a search form? or point me to a guide on how to use this module?

There seems to be a duplicated version of the drupal site in the address below. I suspect it is someone playing naughty and thought I'd let you know. It also has download links for drupal which point to it's own ftp, which means that the files there must be naughty...
