hello.. I want visitors of my site to just read my contents, no need user registration. So I want the login block to not appear. But if I disable the login block, I cannot login to my own site to add content etc. Is it possible to login just for myself without my visitors ever seeing it?
I was wondering whether Drupal is what I am after.
What I want to do is start a help webpage, but instead of me just providing static help, I would like to set up another site (and this is where I am hoping Drupal comes in) that allows me to upload my own help and have it tweeked and commented upon by others, who may be better informed than me. So, they could comment and thus force a change in the help. Correcting mistakes, etc. So the help is 100% correct and helpful to most people (or, at least close to it as possible).
I was looking at several of the downloads. I would like for my users to be able to add images or videos inside their blog content. IS this possible and which download will do it?
So I decided to start over and teach myself some basics and write mysefl some tutorials as I go. I started with blogs, and not I am doing multiuserblogs....
however i would like to know if there is a way to give users a chance to add a blog header to their personal blog
also i am using the pushbutton them and when i add an avatar/image the darn arrow overlays half of it. how do i fix that?
also i am curious , why all entries always appear on the front page in a horizontal layout. could the first two blog nodes be in columns and the second and third be horizontal?
I'm looking for a clean way to have a list of URL's for similar sites to my own. I'd like to show the name for the site, URL for the site and a short description of it.
Does anyone have any ideas on this besides hard coding each one? It would be nice to have them in a database file.
Are there existing modules for this and I've missed them?
I've spent the better part of the past 3 days drooling over some pretty sweet sites powered by Drupal. I'm absolutely amazed at what this app can do....
All of this time I've spent fooling around with other blog apps, and such, I should have plopped my rear end right her at the D-spot.
Oh well, there's no time like the present. So I'm ready to join the party (even though I feel like it's a party in a foreign country where I don't know the language - whats a 'node'? ;) )
