Please understand, I am asking about document management, not content management.
For example, suppose I have a bunch of different documents, some PDFs, some DOCs, some XLS, and so on. I want a place where I can store, retrieve, and organize those documents. Does drupal provide a way to do that?
How can I edit some of database table fields?
For example, I need to change the value of "created" field of a node. But when I edit the node, only the "Changed" field can be edited.
These fields affect the way of displaying and sorting the content by date (e.g. on the FrontPage).
Hi,
I want to create a Dictionary with following features.
1) Users can create terms and descriptions (can probably use drupal categories feature)
2) Tag clouds (can use drupal tagadelic)
3) Users can rate the words like www.urbandictionary.com
Is drupal suitable for huge database dictionary or should I look for a dictionary script instead?
Thanks. :)
OK, I'm sure many may have encountered this on Digg, but this has to be seen to be believed. Personally, it is enough to make me want to switch back to Wordpress if it weren't for Drupal's architectural superiority for content management. Basically somebody has modified the WordPress comments system to utilise the Yahoo! UI Extensions library and the results are nothing short of phenomenal.
