Is it just me or the paging module (http://drupal.org/project/paging) is not working at all?

I mean: I did install it, I did enable it in the modules section of the admin control panel and I did configure it in the settings section but... it does not do anything. No page breaks, no errors, just nothing. (Of course, I set the formatting options to full HTML. I'm using the standard "<!--pagebreak-->" custom tag).

What I am looking for is some functionality , through a module orso, wich will allow me to manage an advertising campaign. This means that for instance I would like to place some banners , in various sizes and have drupal controll their visibility based on some criteria wich could be for instance, amount of days that they are shown, number of clicks received, and number of impressions gotten.

Does anyone know if I can do this with a drupal site ? and if yes, wich module (s) I would need in order to accomplish this ?

I would like to have a 404 not found come up if a URL passed to my website does not exist including url parameters.

To illustrate...

If you pass in URL parameters on Google that do not exist it comes up with a 404 Not Found.

On my website it does not work that way...

This URL shows the same content as http://guidex.biz

can i create date/time or timestamp fields using cck? or do i have to use a text field for date format or integer field for a timestamp?
