Am I understanding correctly that the approach to exclude pages from displaying particular items (menu) by providing the item with a list of pages where I do not want it? For example, if I want blog menu only on the first page and blog page, do I have to list all the pages where I do not want it?
I am new to drupal and was wondering about the pros and cons of enabling clean URLs. Besides from what I have read here in the forum most users want to enable clean urls but have issues. I am running drupal locally and have this featured disabled, meaning I would get the /node instead of the regular /index.html.. What would you recommend? Enable or disable. Once I move my production to my host what should I be concerned about?
I am having a problem with my tags being used by technorati. I followed the directions carefully on http://wiki.bryght.com/wiki/technorati-tags-in-drupal-recipe and my articles show but when I look up
articles by tag they are not there. When I used wordpress they were always there.
Can someone help me with a Drupal install? I can never create the Drupal database and user, as suggested on the the "how to videocast" or the online documentation. On MyPHP admin page, I am missing a few options like character set of the file utf8, nor do I have a privileges tap to create another user. I have not had these two options with Go Daddy, or Startlogic. I am now ready to try a Drupal friendly ISP like Site 5 suggested in the forums. Can anyone give me any insight
I find myself creating modules frequently only to find that the module has already been created, so if I've overlooked this one, please let me know!
I've created a module called nodeextend. This module allows you to add custom fields to selected content types. I'm not sure how to best submit the module - can someone give me some guidelines?
I'm very impressed with drupal so far but am having a hard time getting past your creepy logo. It's hard to show off drupal when that evil looking thing just sits there looking weird. Anyone agree? I vote to change the logo.
