General discussion

Just interested in views on the likely consequences of the formation of Blue Marine, which is clearly bigger than Acquia. To what extent does this new formation have a co-ordinated view on the future of Drupal, and what is that view? Does anyone more familiar with the key developers than I am know which important individuals remain outside Blue Marine or Acquia?

I went to the Issues section for the module but that doesn't seem like the right place. I also checked out the Forums, but that too doesn't seem like the right place.

Where's the best place to post a tutorial?

I am looking for feedback on my current progress with a high school website

So me and a buddy are embarking on the adventure for building a small Drupal website for a local High School. We are doing it for free because a) we would be doing the internet a favor (you don't even want to see their current website) and b) We are not expert website developers (He designs mobile applications and I create web templates and dab into PHP). From what we have researched, there are 4 primary features a high school website should have:

• News/Articles Section
• Galleries
• School Club and Organization Pages
• General Information Pages

We have yet to actually meet with the school administrator in person (that's in the coming week), but we would like to have a decent demonstration made upon arrival. I didn't want to go overboard on features by using Organic Groups for school clubs; the website is primarily going to be edited by a secretary or optionally a teacher or two.

So far the demonstration website is running Drupal 7.x (latest version) with the Media +Media Galleries for galleries and Date + Calendar for the club pages and other school events. I have views working to display the content how I want and am currently designing the theme for it.

I am totally new to Drupal and ubercart and I am a bit confused. I wish to build a multi vendor site, I saw some examples of live sites built with Drupal and ubercart that are exactly what I am looking for, but I am unsure if Drupal 7.x is the best one to use. Also, is ubercart marketplace a different module from ubercart? Or is it one and the same? I have hosting through greengeeks and thought there was a one click download, but dont see it on my cpanel.

I have a site that I am protyping with drupal and I have an android tablet (Samsung galaxy tab 7") and will be upgrading to an android phone shortly and would like to make posts of blogs articles and media but I haven't found any good android software to do so. does anyone here have any suggestions as to what programs would allow me to do this easily?
