Hoping you can help me out with a question regarding Drupal?
I currently have a web application developed in Struts (Java based web application framework). My client is very interested in using a CMS with the existing framework.
Based on their prior experience with Drupal they would like to use that as their CMS.
i am using drupal for 2 years, i like it alot but i am not yet an expert.
i would like to get an advice from a drupal expert about this issue:
i have to develop a community platform for a large corporation. I would like to choose a single platform like drupal that will include the community features such as forum, blog, knowledge base etc.
is drupal is a good solution for combining the whole community features or should i choose a specific platform for each one that i need like phpBB for forum, wordpress for blog and wiki for knowledge management.
I want to create a dictionary website which will provide definitions of about 2000 finance terms. Each definition will be approximately 100-150 words. However I am not sure which CMS is best for me:
Drupal, or
Wordpress, or
Joomla
I want to hide post date since it is a dictionary. I have some experience with WordPress and I can edit permalink structure and themes to remove dates from posts however I have almost no experience with Drupal and Joomla.
I'm newbie drupal user as well as newbie in the web world.
I have a couple of questions:
- I installed wordpress in my local pc just to take some confidence with it and make some tests (thanks to the help of desktopserver support for apache and mysql) . I'd like to do the same for drupal, is that possible?
- Wordpress web site gives the possibiilty to create an account and so a blog on their website. Is that possible with drupal.org too?
