It would be REALLY nice to see a formalized mechanism in drupal.org's module management that would support cross referencing of other modules AND noting the relationship. There have been several occasions where I was looking for a module for specific functionality and found that it would take a combination of modules to achieve what I was after. A mechanism like this would quickly demonstrate that this module has/can been extended and give a better snapshot it's true power/flexibility.
Hey guys, i am very new to drupal development(Just started using it about a week ago) and this is my first post here,
I have successfully created a website and all that is left is hosting it but before that i wanted to improve the security of my site
Could you guys please share your favorite security modules that you all have on your sites and also what are the best practices as far security is concerned for drupal!
I just want to make sure that my site is free from sql injection, xss attacks and other hacks!
Hi,
I'm undecided as to which direction to go in terms of CMS, either customised or Drupal for a new project.
I've got a list of requirements and quotes for the spec are 50/50 between customised and use of Drupal/ Joomla etc.
I was advised to check with Drupal and someone will be able to tell me how many of the requirements will be within the scope of an "off the shelf" Drupal. Can anyone advise if this is the right forum to discuss this issue?
Regards
Stephen
I'm building a family ancestry type site to archive our family pictures, videos and stories (and news, and bios, and family trees, and etc.). This isn't a support question but more me seeking advice. I'm trying to decide if I really need to have a Forum or if I can just rely on comments. My plan at the moment is to have a few content types open to logged in members to create (news, stories, pictures). I know news and stories can be done in Forums, but I'm thinking just using nodes with comments achieves the same effect. What are your thoughts?
I've been browsing the free and paid training videos out there, from ostraining, lynda and others.
The subscription services offer a taste by allowing free access to small samples of video.
I like Ostraining - clear and concise, but I'd like to hear opinions from others.
If you have a prefered set of training videos, please share your opinion.
Thanks
