I first started using Drupal at the 4.7 release. It was always a steep learning curve and matters have not improved. Now I'm at 7.33 and having upgraded from 6 I've lost all my images and galleries as well as my audio files. Yes, they're where they always were on the server but Drupal 7 will not display them. The migration module did not do the job for me.
Over the last year, Drupal Geeks has scraped four of my customer's Drupal websites, found director and officer email addresses, and emailed them trying to solicit business. These sites also list a "webmaster" contact, but Drupal Geeks never sends their emails to "webmaster."
The following was sent to association via their contact form. However it doesn't get published from there.
Since I strongly believe that this information should be available publicly, I'm posting it here too.
Hello!
In DrupalCon Amsterdam we all became aware of the numbers of visitors,
speakers, sessions etc. However, as with last last years DrupalCon (Prague)
there was not word on the money spent to organize the DrupalCon and the money
actually collected by those paying the ticket.
I help run a Drupal Auction site. Every month one of our auction ends and for a period of a few hours we receive loads of users/sessions/pages,(a couple of hundred logged in users). We have been going for a year but in Oct-2014 we received 180,000 page views from 28300 sessions so I guess we are busy not just at the end of the auction but the rest of the month too. During the busy period we are serving anything from 1-15 pages per second.
