I had to test many Facebook and other social network modules to for production site (D7).
Most of them are last updated few years ago and not really working as they should.

I have a feeling developers have "better" work to do then fixing or updating facebook modules, but for Drupal and any other CMS this should be vital.
In the end i managed to get all social options working, but it took 3 days to install, patch, uninstall, test, test, test all of them. I had far less problem getting some really specific modules and problems solved.

I would like to ask here whether at this point in Drupal 8's life cycle, is it possible to create a social networking site in it? What are the challenges (Apart from the modules.) What all things might be needed to put together to enable everything SNS-sy going on in Drupal 8?

I will be glad to know the Drupal community's outlook and this and request to share any input you have!

My team manages a large web environment with VMware running SLES and Redhat VMs. We host over 90 Web Servers. I am beginning my first Drupal install. I have a developer requesting the Production server be setup using XAMP like she runs on her desktop. Is that advisable? Thank you for your time and expertise.

Hello everybody, i am new to Drupal 8. I have never used Drupal 7 or lower. I build a couple sites using html, css(sass) but what i don't know is how to start the project in Drupal when i get PSD designs of website that i need to build. I know how to make a new theme but when i make a new theme then i don't know continue how to write HTML.
