I know this topic is old and tired...
But I really need some good metrics that discuss using Windows vs Linux as a host O/S for Drupal 8 in Dev/Prod environments.
I know I CAN (and have) installed Drupal in Windows...
Is there a general feeling that one is better than the other?... In development or production environments.
Which is recommended and why?
Does any good rationale exists for choosing Linux or Windows?... that isn't down to personal choice?
Some themes, like Bootstrap, describe themselves as being mobile device responsive, i.e. they automatically display appropriately depending on the viewer's screen size.
Is "responsiveness" purely a function of CSS, or are there other elements involved?
I'm asking because I've added a few new style elements to my Bootstrap subtheme, and some of those elements don't seem to adapt to differing screen sizes.
I'm not asking for specific help with my theme. Just trying to wrap my head around the general concept of responsiveness.
I am new to drupal. I have made a site and front page along with several "basic pages" from within the system itself. What I can't see to figure out is this:
I click on a link on the home page, and it's linked to one of those "basic pages"
It just loads on a white drupal background.
What I want to do is have numerous pages with regions like I had on the front page. How do I go about getting all this set up?
I know this probably sounds easy to most, but it escapes me at the moment.
In the Entity Reference field, two of the widget options are "Autocomplete (Tags style)" and "Autocomplete".
Can anybody explain the difference between them?
As far as I can tell, they both work exactly the same. Granted, in my test, I only have 5 items to reference, which may explain why I'm not seeing any difference.
Is there any value in using one over the other? FYI, I'm referencing users.
