Looking at several sites I have doubts to avoid duplicate content, I understand that the hreflang tag could help me, to implementate in my website

The topic is the following I have two domains that are oriented to different countries, although their content is very similar except for the language difference between Spanish/Spain and Spanish/Mexico.

The domains as an example would be:
for Spain domain(dot)com and for Mexico domain(dot)com(dot)mx.

I maintain several sites that use Drupal 7 and have periodically thought "maybe I should upgrade soon".  Every time I set about to look into doing it, I find that dozens of modules are still listed as "This module is currently being ported to Drupal 8, but is not usable yet."

I am wanting to build a website where users can sign up and list goods and services for exchange with other like minded people. I think Drupal will be a good platform to build this site on. I am new to Drupal hence I am posting here. I would appreciate guidance from more experienced drupallers on this matter. Can someone suggest to me if this site is similar to a directory listing website or not? Because if it is I can follow an online tutorial for the initial build as suggested in this link:

I am looking for an online, password protected secure method of taking notes, and manually logging events.  I kinda want a system to just add entries in a simple and quick time stamped, searchable format - ideally that would only be visible to the creator.

Does anyone know of any such module or setup which could accomplish this?

I have this website that is currently using WordPress [spam link redacted] that I would like to migrate to Drupal 8.

I set up an offline Drupal site, and installed, and activated, all the tools supposedly needed to proceed to migration from WordPress (CTools, Migration, Migration Plus, WordPress Migration).

I have already used Drupal in the past, but I have never tried the migration tools I am looking for some tutorial which allow me to follow step by step as I am not quite a tech savvy person

I'm not seeing a capability to search within a discussion forum, but such capability would seem to be of the essence. How can I determine before posting my question whether it has already been asked and answered?
