All day I been working hard to try to figure out a way to migrate my data from site A to site B.
I have a website (site A), on which messages are posted (content type Message, with a couple of fields). What I want to do now it to move all the content from the one content type, over to a new site, site B.
Does anyone know of a module for D7 that actually does this?
I have tried over 10 modules today, but none of them seem to be really doing what they promise. Can anyone help?
I'm using the latest version of the OG module, and I wanted to know if it is possible to have 2 group types and 1 group content type. Because when I want to create a content type in group audience there is "my groups" and "other groups" and if I select any group inside "other groups" I can't choose a parent item.
this page provides a drag-and-drop interface for assigning a block to a region, and for controlling
the order of blocks within regions. To change the region or order of a block, grab a drag-and-drop
handle under the Block column and drag the block to a new location in the list.
(Grab a handle by clicking and holding the mouse while hovering over a handle icon.)
Since not all themes implement the same regions, or display regions in the same way, blocks are positioned
on a per-theme basis. Remember that your changes will not be saved until you click the Save blocks button at
the bottom of the page. Click the configure link next to each block to configure its specific title and visibility settings. Use the add block page to create a custom block.
my setup: drupal commons 6 x24 - released on january 18.th
i want to rotate images in the drupal commons. How to accomplish that witht the customized blocks!?
Note - they are only small images (/thumbnails ). not very very big. See an example on the drupal.org -page.
OK so I installed Drupal and moved over my old site from another hosting site. I'm now looking at setting up the FTP for it. One method seems to be to use chroot but to do that I think I need to create a dir under my users home dir (ie /home/user/public_html) and then create a soft link to /var/www (the document root). If thats the case then it seems I will have to reinstall drupal in public_html? Is that the case or is there an easier way than doing this all over again?
