Feeds import experts - Advise needed please.

Through the site builder UI feeds has to have a URL manually inputted and then run for import. I am convinced that programmers have the smarts to code a predefined URL function and have the import run on "opening/touching" a URL to do the import of the predefined URL.

Could anyone advise on this solution?

I'm trying to put together a newsletter that I generate with Simplenews and Simplenews Content Selection. In addition to the newsletter content type, I have added two fields of type markup ("Header" with the logo, slogan ... and "Footer" with social networks) and a field "Other content" of type multifield.

I've got a Views Slideshow and cannot seem to get it to be 100% of the width of the screen. I know I've done this before, but I can't seem to figure out what I'm currently missing.

You can see the slider there at the top - it's huge. I just want it to be 100% of the width of the screen, regardless of screen size (desktop, as mobile has a different front page).
