After updating our site from 7.80 to 7.81 the home page will load, but any attempt to access any other page results in a 404 error. The same thing happens in the backend. I can access the main admin screen but any attempt to go to any other admin page results in a 404 as well. I was able to roll back the site and its running now on 7.80. Any obvious things to look for? I did make sure to update settings.php and well as htaccess and web.config before uploading the 7.81 files.
I'm trying to keep a word count tally on a set of long text fields. As far as I can see, there are several options:
1) Create a view and add php to a custom template that produces the word count. Most solutions I've found seem too refer back to this 2005 issue, which is considerably out of date.
It's probably me but, I MUST backup my site properly. I've got the database backup working properly, but I continue to struggle with the codebase (drupal's root public_html directory and ALL subfolders/files therein). I hope I'm using the correct terminology here, thus the (...). What I do NOT want to have to do in case of a "Restore", is to reinstall drupal7 and the multitude of contrib Modules that I'm using!
