Drupal 7.x

Should one be learning Drupal 7 or Durpal 8 at this time? What resoruce provide comprehensive learning for Drupal Front-end and Back-end development?

Hi everyone, i'm newbee in Drupal, please help me solve my problem.

I installed Drupal 7.59, then install themeforest-goodnex theme like that: appearance => install new theme => chose goodnex-theme.rar file on my computer. Install was saccessfull. I find new modules, but i can't see new theme in appearance. Why? How to solve this?

I tried  unzip theme files, and move it to domains\mysitename\themes\goodnex, but after that in appearance i see so many themes (files from goodnex folder).  Tried clear cache - nothing change. This ways can't help me.

I've been trying all day to reset my drupal admin password in Drupal 7.

I'm using DirectAdmin so I've tried using this guide to reset it. When I go to the url specified in the guide however, I just get the content of the php file on my screen instead of 'done' and my password doesn't get changed..

Any ideas on how I could fix this?

My default Drupal is installed in www.jobcull.com/cull, under the site information tab, the default is at www.jobcull.com/cull and gives me a box. I can't leave it blank. Is there a way to route the default page back to www.jobcull.com?
