Drupal 7.x

Works fine in I.E.
I installed SWF Tools. I selected "Direct Embedding" and clicked "Save Configuration" to no avail.

as I am rewriting the ecard module I stumbled at some real problems for internationalization. I want it to be possible that the users get ecard messages in their own language that are editable by the sites admin.

I thought that maybe the user module can show me how to do this but it appears up to D7 there isn't a fix for this. There are some threads ongoing but it seems there is no solution for D5 or D6.

When is Drupal 7 available? Is it better to wait for version 7 than to upgrade to version 6 from version 5.

Drupal has one major shortage compared to Joomla. Joomla is better designed for upgrades and language installations among other things.

Will Drupal 7 have more automated version update system than the current releases?

I plan to start using Drupal for an enterprise application and I would like to know if DB transactions are supported in 6.x and whether they will be supported in 7.x?

I saw some mention of this via google, but I am not sure of the status quo.

Are there any implications to be aware of when using transactions in Drupal? For example, would table level locking available in certain db vendors adversely impact performance vs row level locking?

I have to create a marketing portal on our intranet. At the portal, we want to generate print-ready highres PDF files with dynamic input of text and images. PDF files may be based on InDesign templates, which is not a requirement.

Does anyone know of a Drupal module that can handle the job?
