Drupal 7.x

I am learning how to create new custom theme....but am kinda stuck....

I created a directory called Gray I placed it in different locations like this:
drupal6/sites/all/themes/Gray and under drupal/themes/Gray (where all the other themes live).

Then I created a very basic page.tpl.php and glabol.css and dropped in the Gray directory.

I then Go to ADMINISTER >> SITE BUILDING >> THEMES >> ???? but I dont' see my new simple theme!

Why can't I see my new theme?

My boss want me to find him a plug in for drupal allowing all the users to query the database.

If it is preferable that the tool can easily integrate with Drupal, it may also be a plug in independent (thin client or thick client) and to query via a query of Mysql databases.
As a reminder, it is necessary that the tool is open source.

Does this tool exist or is it a very bad joke ? (sadly this may be possible)

experience with managing and maintaining a drupal website

Now pager displays pages 1,2,3 ... N (from new to old).
We have 2 problems:

• All page each time changing the position (when you add material)
• Search engines have links to old pages pager

Whether there is the option to make the numbering pager: N... 3,2,1 (from new to old)?

My name is Alice-Marie Archer, and I am a working on a collaborative thesis towards a masters in 'Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability' at the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Sweden.
