How we will make Drupal 7 simple to use

The Drupal core developers have a long history of making user experience improvements. The developers have made it easier to install, to update, to internationalize, to customize, to theme, to find help, to recover from errors, and to interact. A few years ago, the Drupal project lead, Dries, wrote about The Ockham's Razor Principle of Content Management Systems which stated

Drupal Virtual Appliance

I created a virtual appliance install for Drupal 6 with a large assortment of themes and modules; also one with Drupal 7 with a small assortment of themes.

It's real easy to use, and the vmware player is free. If you break your drupal install, you can just extract the zip again and start over.

It's basically a VirtualAppliances.net LAMP appliance with php5-gd, working clean urls, and cron every hour. The Drupal 7 zip has version 6 in /drupal6 but no cron jobs setup.

A menu to list tags? And related posts?

Forgive me in advance, I am a noob.

I'm using drupal for my blog. There are two things I'd like to get happening there which I have seen in wordpress blogs: a menu that lists all the tags so that you can browse the different topics of the site that way; and something which automatically creates a list of related posts at the end of a post (deciding if it is related or not by the tags).

I'm sure there's either a simple answer to this or a simple "it can't be done", but I'm really struggling with Drupal at this time.

Any help?

RFP for website migration

The Northern California Nevada Conference, United Church of Christ solicits proposals for the migration of www.ncncucc.org. An earlier incomplete effort at migration that shows what we have in mind is at www.ncncucc.org/newsite.

Just a few questions to see if Drupal is right for me or not.

Hey everyone. Absolutely new to Drupal here. I'm starting a new website for a tattoo shop here in San Diego, and I'm looking for a good platform to begin on. I'll be doing a lot of custom Java and PHP work, but there are some thing I'd like to know whether or not they're possible with Drupal.

How do you estimate the approximate cost for a new module?

Hi guys,

Please advise me how can I estimate at least approximately the costs of a new module? Functionality of a module I posted here in RSS aggr. groups:
