Is Drupal suitable for a simple company's website???

Hello everyone, I plan change our current company website to drupal system. However I have some questions. We are a hot forging company. This is our web www.forgingmanufacturer.com

Should I change it to Drupal system? We only use few functions, the main is the article function.
Please give me some advices. Thanks a lot!!

Why I plan change to drupal is that I know Drupal could put many products with pictures.

Free Drupal Hosting for Developers

The Free plan at WebEnabled now allows you to build and host your production websites. Start by setting up your Drupal site under your free account. Next, select "manage domains" from the info page and add your production URL. Change your DNS "A" and "@" records to point to the IP address on your info page. Here are a few things to remember:

  • Please use this low-traffic websites only... please host your media and big files somewhere else
  • We don't do DNS: use a registrar that gives you free DNS (like Godaddy)
  • We don't do email: use google.com/a to setup your free email, the free google apps edition is still available at http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new

Have fun!
Salim.

Custom Theme Wanted

Hello,

We are looking to convert our website over to a Drupal template. I’ve experimented with some of the available templates, but they look too much like a “cookie cutter” site

Our current website has been well received by our clients who like its style and the fact that the applications (fire and transit) are completely separate. (http://www.vigil-solutions.com ) However, the site is limited by the amount of information I can present on a page, there is no easy way to administer forums and have validated users as well as the problem with adding a 3rd application for “City Fleets”.

I’ve figured out a few things – like making custom menus and having a separate index page, but I can’t seem to get the custom look and feel that our current website has.

What I’d like is a quote to develop (or customize an existing) theme that can meet our requirements:
• Artistic look
• Our colors and logo
• Pictures easily added/modified to pages
• Front page (index) which directs to specific application
• Navigation separate by application once the site is entered (fire, transit, fleet)
• Ability to create another custom menu (example for fleet services)
• Final design will not include any mention of “web site designed by”

Hope I explained that enough! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks for your time,

Cathy Beckham

can't hide login field in new node template

Hello,

I am trying to hide the login field in my site and i managed to do it for the normal pages but for the pages that have a different content type and that relate to a different page-node.tpl.php it doesn't work. They still appear what ever I do.

Any ideas?

Greetings

Tony

Error when accessing view.

Hi, Im in a pretty bad situation. I just recently aquired the development of a drupal based site in the middle of development.

Anyhow, when I open a "view" I get the following error:

warning: gmmktime() expects parameter 4 to be long, string given in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/intranet/sites/all/modules/views/modules/profile/views_handler_field_profile_date.inc on line 45.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,!

Will Drupal7 content persistence support a true object-relational query language ?

Like Hibernate Query Language, or Java Data Object Query Language etc.
