Drupal 7.x

Looking to build a simple multilingual News portal with videos, news letter and ad-management features. Not sure if this doable in drupal.

I need a coder proficient in Drupal and Ubercart to make a few much needed module configurations. We have everything installed correctly. I would rather not use any patches on modules but if needed you should communicate this. ALL MODULES ARE INSTALLED AND PRESENT, THIS IS JUST CONFIGURATION.

So, did the code freeze happen on September 1st? I thought there would be an announcement...

I am about to start developing a new Drupal site, and thought this would be a good point in time to start playing with Drupal 7, as things would likely be more stable.

Anyone like to comment?

Currently we have "how many times an article has been read or viewed" but this works or seems to work only in a very limited inaccurate way.

When there are no 'read more' links how to know how many times an article has been read?
When an article is read via RSS how to count and add that 'hit' number to the counter ?

Any brainworks ?

Attempting a clean install of Drupal 7 (my first - was hoping to help debug... good start!!)

I get the following message on the Database Config screen and cannot progress:

Failed to connect to your MySQL database server. MySQL reports the following message: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1231 Variable 'sql_mode' can't be set to the value of 'TRADITIONAL'.

Database information is correct and connection tested in Navicat
Php memory limit is 96M

Couldn't find any other examples similar to this...

Industry: Healthcare

Time frame: 4-6 weeks max

Theming: Need to make great looking site to attract health care business & customers. The site will have a section for health care professionals and businesses and a section for consumers. Front page should be very attractive and professional looking.
